15,000 Square Foot Facility
Our blast & coat division can accommodate a wide range of part sizes and weights in multiple blast and paint booths.
Blast Unit 1
Measuring 54 ft (16.5 m) in length and extendable to 70 ft (21.3 m), by 22 ft (6.7 m) wide and 20 ft (6.1 m) high, Blast 1 is equipped with a media recovery system and a wet scrubber for dust collection. We have the ability to grit blast very large tanks, oil and gas industry components, large pressure vessels and structural components.
To streamline our process, Blast 1 is located in line with our largest paint booth minimizing the need for extra material handling and ensuring high finish standards for sensitive or extremely heavy components.
Blast Unit 2
Housing the largest blasting area at Aberfoyle, Blast 2 measures 80 ft (25.0 m) long by 40 ft (12.2 m) wide. This covered area allows us to manually blast large and oversized components using specialized surface preparation media including While Lightning, Aluminum Oxide and Glass Bead. These less abrasive materials are ideally suited to provide a high-quality finish for stainless steel and similar alloy surfaces.
Paint Unit 1
Aberfoyle's largest paint booth is 54 ft (16.5 m) in length and extendable to 74 ft (21.3 m) by 24 ft (7.3 m) wide by 20 ft (6.1 m) high giving us an exceptional capacity for coating extremely large components.
We apply a wide range of protective coatings such as: Alkyd Enamels and Primers, Epoxy High-Build, Inorganic Zinc, High-Heat Coatings and Tank Linings. The scope of our capabilities allows us to work within the Petrochemical, Hydroelectric, Construction and other heavy machinery industries. Our versatility to provide a wide variety of protective coating needs has earned us the designation of ‘Recommended Applicator’ by our suppliers and customers.
Paint Unit 2
Our smaller paint booth measures 35 ft (10.7 m) long, is extendable to 50 ft (15.2 m) by 13 ft (3.96 m) wide by 13.5 ft (4.1 m) high. This paint booth is designed for a multitude of smaller to medium-sized components. All parts are sprayed or coated by hand, ensuring precise finishes by our highly-skilled operators.
Paint Unit 2 has the flexibility to apply the following types of coatings: Alkyd Enamels and Primers, Epoxy High-Build, Inorganic Zinc, High-Heat Coatings and Tank Linings.
